My computer just drives me nuts some days!! Just when I think I’ve got things figured out, someone changed the rules! And it’s not me!
I made these lovely fun earrings in October but because my computer and I were having a fight I couldn’t post anything. You can see it’s been a while since I posted on my blog. That’s because after my latest update I couldn’t post pictures and who wants to read about jewelry that you can’t see!!??
Anyhow, back to the earrings and there’s a bracelet too – these lovely white and deep purple beads were made by a gentleman in Madison WI named Dave Fehr. I was lucky enough to purchase these beads at the Madison bead show this year. I had taken a class with Wendy Witchner last year who does lovely things with coiled and twisted wire. After having a pile of pieces on my work desk one day I saw a picture somewhere of a bracelet using these coiled pieces. And voila! This is what I made. The earrings are a length of close to 2 inches – long for me as I have the short neck of a football player…. But very fun to wear.
And the bracelet lays nicely on my wrist and feels so silky. The round beads and the coiled wear go well together in this bracelet to provide that silky feeling.
I’ll be posting these on Etsy in the near future.
